Kentucky Bourbon Tourism is (Slowly) Getting Back to Business: What to Expect on Tour

After a three-month hiatus thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kentucky distilleries were allowed to begin reopening to the public on June 8 under strict guidelines from the state. Some have restarted tours and tastings; some are still shut down, and others are in various stages in between.

10 Things I Can’t Wait to do Once Bourbon Tourism Opens Up

Kentucky is just now starting to open up after spending a couple of months staying “Healthy at Home.” I spoke to representatives at several  distilleries and they told me that June 8th has been set for the reopening of the tours at attractions like the distilleries. The retail gift shops can open May 20 if they follow state guidelines for cleanliness and social distancing. And many locations, especially the craft distilleries, continue to offer  curbside pickup of bourbon products and hand sanitizer.

Get to Know the New Head of The Kentucky Bourbon Festival 2020: Randy Prasse

The Kentucky Bourbon Festival (KBF), “America’s premier celebration of the nation’s official native spirit,” announced a new leader earlier this year whose job is to do just that.

Heading into its 29th year this fall, the festival’s Board of Directors named Randy Prasse the KBF’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
