Missing the Kentucky Derby? Don’t miss this music video tribute from Woodford Reserve to Churchill Downs

Are you sad to be missing the greatest two minutes in sports since the Kentucky Derby horserace has been postponed until September 5? Woodford Reserve, the Derby’s presenting sponsor, is here to help us out with a beautiful one-minute music video tribute. It shows the iconic and hauntingly empty Churchill Downs with cellist Ben Sollee singing and playing a soulful rendition of My Old Kentucky Home.

See the stirring tribute video here.

“Now more than ever, we need to be connected to each other,” Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris said. “This beautiful rendition of My Old Kentucky Home keeps the tradition and pageantry of the Kentucky Derby alive during these hard times.”
