Music and Whiskey Team Up to Offer Lots of Concerts and Festivals this Summer

To paraphrase the Bard, “If music be the bourbon of love, play on.”

Okay, that’s bad. But enjoying music and bourbon together is good. And it’s more popular than ever, while the list of “can’t miss” events around the Bluegrass (and one in Oregon) continues to grow. Here is a summary so you can make your sippin’ and listenin’ plans this summer

Jeptha Creed’s summer concert series is coming back to the Shelbyville, Kentucky distillery. The events will feature music, food, games, and craft cocktails at the bar.

The seventh annual Pendleton Whisky Music Fest event in Oregon will feature Kane Brown, FloRida, Maddie & Tae, Niko Moon, and Dylan Schneider.

Bourbon and Beyond Festival

Louisville, Kentucky 

September 14-17

The four-day Bourbon and Beyond Festival in Louisville will feature lots of music, food, and bourbon activities. Artists scheduled include Bruno Mars, The Black Keys, The Killers, Brandi Carlile, and many others. Get information on passes here.

Springhouse Music Series

Castle & Key Distillery

Frankfort, Kentucky

Castle & Key Distillery, just outside Frankfort, is bringing back its Springhouse Music Series on the first Wednesday of each month, through September, beginning June 7.

The events include live music, local food trucks, and drinks at Taylorton Station (outdoor walk-up bar) on the Springhouse Lawn. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and music begins at 6:00 p.m.
