By Brian G. Miller

Pegasus, a Louisville-based transportation and tour company, broke ground today on a new 15,000-square-foot facility at 4711 Poplar Level Road.

The new Pegasus facility will house office space; garage space for the growing fleet of vehicles (ranging from luxury sedans and SUVs to 14-passenger executive vans and 38-passenger motor coaches); an oversized-kitchen, employee lounge with flat screen TVs and a ping pong table, a gym, large conference room with video conferencing, a vehicle washing area with reverse osmosis rinse system, and plenty of parking for special events

The new Pegasus facility being built at 4711 Poplar Level Road will be a state-of-the-art transportation and hospitality hub for chauffeured, chartered, and distillery tour services.

The family-owned company recently rebranded its three business units, R & R Limousine, Cosmopolitan Coach, and Copper Still Tours, under the Pegasus umbrella.

“This historic day demonstrates our commitment to the City of Louisville and the state of Kentucky,” said Carey Fieldhouse, President and CEO of Pegasus.

“Pegasus offers the height of transportation and hospitality, with a personal touch. In this building, we’ll be able to grow our offerings and extend the reach of our hospitality services.”

Fieldhouse thanked the partners who have worked for months to make the groundbreaking a reality: CBRE provided real estate services, Prodigy Construction is the design architect and builder, and Republic Bank is financing the project. Representatives of each company participated in the ground breaking ceremony.

In addition, Fieldhouse thanked her family members, the staff members, and the chauffeurs who have worked for 16 years to make the company a success.

Representatives of Greater Louisville Inc. and the Frazier History Museum also attended the event.

The company hopes to move into its new home as early as January 2020 with a grand opening in April. Pegasus is currently based at 4840 Crittenden Drive. For more information on Pegasus go to www.takepegasus.com.
