Join Maker’s Mark and Centre College for a special night to honor artist Stephen Rolfe Powell’s glass work

Maker’s Mark Distillery and Centre College are teaming up to host a special night of cocktails, food, art, and an auction to honor the legacy of glass artist and former Centre professor Stephen Rolfe Powell on Saturday, November 16 at the distillery in Loretto, KY from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Begin the evening with a cocktail in hand as you walk among Stephen’s work in the Homeplace. Then you can view additional works around the distillery while dining on food from Chef Josh Moore of Volare Ristorante and Maker’s Mark’s Chef-in Residence Newman Miller.

You’ll round out the night with an auction of select glassworks done by friends, colleagues, and former students of Stephen’s. The silent auction features decanter-style pieces hand blown using the Maker’s Mark bottle mold and the live auction will include works from noted glass artists from around the country. The funds raised from the event and auction with benefit the Stephen Rolfe Powell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Centre.

The dress for the evening is “Distillery Casual,” which the Makers’s Mark website describes as wearing comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather, knowing you’ll be indoors and out as you walk the grounds. The cost is $150 per person and space is quite limited. Everyone will go home with a special bottle of bourbon.
